About Me

Posted on:

The person behind Lion & Fox is me, Roma Estera Bemat.
I spend the first years of my life in Poland, grew up in Austria and currently stay in South Africa.
I acquired a BA degree in Religious Studies and Psychology at the University of South Africa and further a Life Coaching certificate with New Insights Africa.

I am in my field for a few years now and had the privilege to work with amazing people. I saw open and determined people who turned their lives around by applying simple consistent changes. Or simply by learning to say what they want.
I do believe in simplicity as the highest sophistication.

I made the experience that a person needs to identify having a problem by themselves. It will not suffice that your family or friends tell you that you have a problem. You yourself need to see it, admit it to yourself, say it aloud and take action.

Taking action might be going to a life coach.

A life coach is trained to define a problem for problem definition is the most common mistake area. If you attribute the problem to the wrong source you will be working on the wrong solution. Further in the sessions we will be working on small specific action steps that will help you to move towards your goal and we will be evaluating the process as we go along.
The process itself is flexible. You might switch steps, jump steps, repeat them…but once you have a sense of purpose solving the challenge will become a source of happiness.

My strengths are Emigration and the Abuse of Women.

Emigration because as mentioned above I lived in three different countries in my life and I moved around frequently. I understand the feeling of sitting between two chairs in the sense of being somewhere else than ones belongs to.
When you move to a foreign place you need to redefine your identity, reevaluate your values and readjust them. You need to learn the language, the customs and build a social network from zero. This is challenging. There are steps one can follow to make this process easier. Just understanding the process will make a person feel more in control.

My other focus is the abuse of women.
Being a woman I obviously feel close to other women. I identify with them , I share their lives with more empathy, sympathy and understanding than a man would do, I suppose.
I do not want to create a forum for feminism or fight for equality but simply human dignity.

Let us turn to facts here:
women make 51% of the world’s population, fulfill 63% of the world’s working hours, earn 10% of the world’s salary and owe 1% of the world’s assets.

Weakness in the economic area negatively influences other areas of women’s lives.

I believe that I am skilled to improve a woman’s life significantly.

Well that said, I want to thank you for visiting Lion & Fox and consider:” There is in the world no such force as the force of a man determined to rise.”
